Backpacking Basics at St Charles County Parks
Looking for a fun and free way to spend part of your Saturday? St. Charles County Parks is hosting Backpacking Basics on Saturday, April 18, from 12–2 p.m. at Klondike Park. It’s a great chance to learn the basics from an experienced ranger, ask questions, and even test out gear on a short hike. The program is free and open to ages 12 and up. 🌿 Mission: Clean Stream – Let’s Show Up for Our Waterways!
On Saturday, April 11, our community is joining neighboring cities for Mission: Clean Stream — a regional effort to remove trash from local streams and lakes. In 2024 alone, nearly 1,000 volunteers pulled 11 tons of trash from area creeks in just two hours. That’s the power of people coming together.
