Happy Mother’s Day
This is my first Mother’s Day without my mom, so I’m especially aware this year that today can hold many emotions at once. I’m thinking of everyone who carries the heart of a mother in any form. To those raising children, those whose babies were not born, those missing their moms, those who are stepmoms, grandmothers, bonus moms, foster moms, adoptive moms, aunties, mentors, caregivers, and those who may not have the title but have been “mom” in all the ways that matter.

Speaking Engagement at CBC
This week, I had the opportunity to spend time with a class of seniors at Christian Brothers College High School for two sessions on the history of voting in the United States, women’s suffrage, and the realities of voting today, as part of my work with the League of Women Voters. I was genuinely impressed by how thoughtfully these students engaged. They asked great questions, challenged ideas, and really took the time to think through how things work in real life. Moment
