❤️🤍💙 A Thoughtful Fourth of July Reminder
As we get ready to celebrate Independence Day, I wanted to share a gentle reminder that fireworks can be difficult for many of our neighbors, including veterans, people with PTSD or sensory sensitivities, young children, pets, and local wildlife.
If fireworks are part of your celebration, please consider reducing the amount you set off, choosing quieter options when possible, or enjoying a professional fireworks display instead.
A few safety reminders:
🔥 Keep fireworks away from homes, garages, dry grass, trash cans, vehicles, and trees
💧 Have water nearby before you begin
👀 Keep children and pets at a safe distance
🗑️ Allow spent fireworks to fully cool before placing them in a trash can
🚫 Never relight a firework that did not fully ignite
