Happy Mother’s Day

This is my first Mother’s Day without my mom, so I’m especially aware this year that today can hold many emotions at once.

I’m thinking of everyone who carries the heart of a mother in any form.

To those raising children, those whose babies were not born, those missing their moms, those who are stepmoms, grandmothers, bonus moms, foster moms, adoptive moms, aunties, mentors, caregivers, and those who may not have the title but have been “mom” in all the ways that matter.

Mothering can look many different ways. It can be joyful, complicated, quiet, tender, exhausting, beautiful, and deeply personal.

However this day meets you, I hope you feel seen, appreciated, and surrounded by kindness.
