With the April 7 election approaching, here are two quick steps to make sure you're ready to vote in Lake St. Louis. The first, make sure you're registered and the second, know your polling location.

The City of Lake St. Louis Parks & Recreation Department is hosting the Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 28. Children ages 10 and under are invited to participate, so bring your Easter baskets and arrive on time.

The Lake St. Louis Board of Aldermen will meet tonight at 6:00 pm at City Hall. Citizens may be heard on the City’s Storm Water Management Plan, so if you have thoughts or questions about stormwater, drainage, or long-term infrastructure planning, this is an opportunity to share them. To vote for Alderman in the April 7th election, you must be registered to vote by March 11th.

On Saturday, April 11, our community is joining neighboring cities for Mission: Clean Stream — a regional effort to remove trash from local streams and lakes. In 2024 alone, nearly 1,000 volunteers pulled 11 tons of trash from area creeks in just two hours. That’s the power of people coming together. The General Municipal Election is April 7, 2026, but you do not have to wait until Election Day to cast your ballot. If you know you will be traveling, working, or simply prefer to vote early, you can.

From March 2 through December 31, 2026, you can participate in the America 250 Challenge and explore books that reflect our nation’s history, stories, and voices.

Lake St. Louis is divided into three wards, and each ward has two Aldermen who are elected in alternating years. Since I’m running in Ward 1 this year, several neighbors have asked how to find out which ward they’re in.

There are plans underway to widen Lake St. Louis Boulevard from 3 lanes to 5 lanes between Hawk Ridge Crossing and Route N.
