SCCAD Grand Re-Opening

I’m a little late posting this since the event was Saturday, May 30, but I really wanted to make sure I acknowledged the St. Charles County Ambulance District’s grand re-opening, the remarkable team behind it, and the important services they provide. 🚑
SCCAD hosted the community from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with BBQ, building tours, information stations, ambulance tours, and opportunities to meet employees and leadership. The ambulance and mass casualty ambulance were especially popular, and it was fun to see so many people from across St. Charles County there.
We are very fortunate to have a facility like this so close to Lake Saint Louis, and I’m grateful for the work SCCAD does every day to care for our communities.
A few things I learned and appreciated:
🚑 The mass casualty ambulance was one of the most interesting things to see up close. It’s a reminder of the regional support and planning that can be needed for large-scale events and emergencies.
🏙️ SCCAD is part of the transition of EMS transport services for the City of St. Charles, with the City Fire Department continuing to respond to EMS calls.
Thank you to John Romeo, Deputy Chief of Professional Standards; Director Mark Johnson, who also serves as a Dardenne Prairie Alderman; Matt Schafer, Platoon Chief; and the entire SCCAD team for such a welcoming and informative event.
