Looking for a fun and free way to spend part of your Saturday? St. Charles County Parks is hosting Backpacking Basics on Saturday, April 18, from 12–2 p.m. at Klondike Park. It’s a great chance to learn the basics from an experienced ranger, ask questions, and even test out gear on a short hike. The program is free and open to ages 12 and up. The Confidence Steppers walking sessions sponsored by St. Charles County Parks are a wonderful opportunity to do just that. Women come together for medium-intensity walks at local parks, with time to enjoy the outdoors, move at a comfortable pace, and build new connections along the way.
