Several residents have asked about the ongoing work near South Outer 40 at Bexley Drive, in front of the Windsor Park subdivision, so I wanted to share what I’ve learned.
Here’s the summary:
💧 This is a water main project
🛠️ Crews are installing a 30-inch water main from Lake Saint Louis Boulevard to Highway 70
🌊 The project includes boring under the lake
📅 Work began on April 14 and is currently expected to be completed in early July
🚜 Residents should expect heavy equipment to remain in the area and work to continue until that time
⚠️ Additional signage has been added
🟦 Large metal plates have been placed over the damaged/buckling section of the roadway so vehicles can safely drive over it
🛣️ The damaged road area is expected to be fully repaired once the project is complete
Thank you to the residents who reached out with questions and concerns. I also appreciate the quick follow-up from the Water Authority and the added safety measures now in place.
Please continue to use caution when driving through this area, especially near the curve and work zone. I’ll share additional updates as I receive them.
