The Lake Saint Louis Board of Aldermen met on Monday, June 1, and I wanted to share a brief follow-up for residents who asked for an update.

Here are a few outcomes from the meeting:

âś… Employee Insurance Coverage, Bills No. 5124, 5125, and 5126: Passed. These authorized documents related to employee life, accidental death and dismemberment, long-term disability, voluntary short-term disability, vision, and dental insurance coverage.

✅ FY2026 Budget Revision, Bill No. 5127: Passed. This adopted a budget revision for the City’s fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026.

✅ FY2027 City Budget, Bill No. 5128: Passed. This adopted the City’s budget by fund for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027.

A few notes about this meeting:

This was a full agenda with several operational, public works, law enforcement, employee benefits, and budget-related items.

For residents who follow the budget process, Bill No. 5128 is especially important because it sets the City’s budget by fund for the next fiscal year, beginning July 1, 2026. City budgets are one of the main ways priorities, planned work, staffing, services, infrastructure needs, and financial stewardship come together in one place.

There were also two public safety-related items connected to license plate recognition data sharing and participation in O’Fallon’s real-time information center. These agreements are intended to support law enforcement coordination and information sharing across jurisdictions.

Official meeting minutes are typically posted on the City’s Agenda Center about two weeks after the meeting. You can find them here: https://www.lakesaintlouis.com/AgendaCenter/Board-of-Alderman-2

Thank you to everyone who reached out, asked questions, attended the meeting, or followed along. Local government works better when more people stay informed and involved.
