🏛️ Board of Aldermen Meeting Follow-Up

The Lake Saint Louis Board of Aldermen met on Monday, June 15, and I wanted to share a brief follow-up for residents who asked for an update.

Here are a few outcomes from the meeting:

✅ Consent Agenda: Passed

This included the warrant, a new liquor license, and multiple liquor license renewals.

✅ Bill No. 5129: Passed

This authorized the City to accept a grant award from the U.S. Department of Justice Bulletproof Vest Partnership.

✅ Bill No. 5130: Passed

This awarded a contract to Semke Grading and Pipe Works for the Fernwood Storm Water Improvement Project.

✅ Bill No. 5131: Passed

This accepted a grant award from the Missouri Department of Conservation’s Community Forestry Cost Share Program for the Tree Walk Project at Deer Ridge Park.

A meaningful part of the evening was a presentation from Honorable Denise Childress, Associate Circuit Judge, Division 11 of the 11th Judicial Circuit in St. Charles County.

Judge Childress shared information about resources available to victims of abuse, including how to file for an Order of Protection online. She also explained the response process available through St. Charles County for those who need this service.

An Order of Protection can be an important tool for people experiencing abuse, stalking, threats, domestic violence, sexual assault, or similar safety concerns. These resources are designed to help people take the next step toward protection and support.
